I was interviewing for a job as a sales representative at a software company. The interview was going well, and I was feeling confident that I was going to get the job.

Then, the interviewer asked me a question that I wasn’t expecting: “Tell me about a time when you had to overcome a challenge in a sales situation.”

I was caught off guard, but I knew that this was a question that I needed to answer well. I took a deep breath and told the interviewer about a time when I had to close a deal with a difficult customer.

The customer was very demanding, and he was constantly trying to get me to lower my price. I knew that I couldn’t lower my price, so I had to find another way to close the deal.

I listened to the customer’s concerns, and I was able to show him how my product would solve his problems. I also offered him a free trial, so that he could try out my product before he made a decision.

In the end, the customer was impressed with my product and my sales skills. He agreed to buy my product, and I was able to close the deal.

The interviewer was impressed with my answer, and I ended up getting the job. I’m glad that I was able to answer this question well, because it showed the interviewer that I am a skilled salesperson who is able to overcome challenges.
