We are seeking a highly skilled industry professional to provide specialized online training in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design. This role focuses on bridging the gap between academic theory and practical industrial application using modern EDA tools.
- Mode: Online sessions with screen sharing and real-time project guidance.
- Frequency: 2 to 3 classes per week (Flexible scheduling).
- Focus: End-to-end PCB layout, schematic capture, and manufacturing outputs.
- Software: Mastery of latest industry-standard software (Altium, Allegro, or KiCad).
Tutor Requirements
The mandatory requirement for this position is that you must be a currently practicing PCB Designer or Hardware Design Engineer with active industry experience. We are not looking for academic professors but rather technical experts who handle multi-layer board designs, high-speed signal integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations in their daily professional lives. You must have a deep understanding of the latest software versions and be able to demonstrate advanced features such as differential pair routing, length matching, and blind/buried via technology. Since this is an online role, you are required to have a stable high-speed internet connection, a high-quality microphone, and the ability to explain complex hardware constraints to a learner clearly. You must be able to provide real-world examples of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) workflows. We prioritize applicants who can showcase a portfolio of successfully fabricated boards and who stay updated with the rapidly evolving standards of the electronics industry.
Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics.
- Strong knowledge of footprint creation, BOM management, and Gerber file generation.
- Excellent communication skills for remote technical mentoring.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex routing issues in real-time.
Hiring Process
The hiring process involves a mandatory Tutor Registration on our platform, followed by a technical demo class where you will demonstrate your design workflow and teaching style.
If you meet the criteria and are ready to start immediately, please register as a tutor on Crazywhiz and apply, we will contact you after reviewing your application.
