Technical Skills: Running PCR, submitting samples to sequencing, Perform Cloning, mammalian cell culture techniques, in vitro transcription and RNA probe generation, mounting and sectioning of mouse brain and in situ hybridization other microbiological techniques like transformation, plasmid preparation, gel electrophoresis, RNA DNA extraction from samples, cell culture techniques.
Linux OS, Programming with languages like ‘R’, Python etc.
Experiences:
1. Summer training: at National Brain Research Center under the guidance of Dr. Sourav Banerjee. The main focus of project was checking the localization of a novel Long non-coding RNA in the mouse brain.
2. M.sc. thesis: under guidance of Dr. Sumita Sengupta at Calcutta University where the project objective was to validate the direct interaction between a specific micro RNA and HuR with the 3’ UTR of Oncostatin M mRNA by site directed mutagenesis.
3. Worked as Research Fellow in a project at Presidency University in Central Government funded projects in a Cancer research Laboratory.
4. Having co-authorships in research articles recently published in high impact journals. 10.1016/j.cellsig.2025.111679, 10.1016/j.exphem.2025.105330, 10.1016/j.freeradbiomed.2021.02.024, 10.1080/08830185.2021.1876044, 10.1007/s11033-025-10573-5 
Research Interests:
1. Cancer biology and molecular biology of cancer: Today cancer is a growing problem and different methodologies have been developed which resulted from some brilliant research works, this is an interesting field to work on and there may be an opportunity to help the mankind in the long run. Genetic changes in some protein expression in different types of cancers are interesting points to study and to get new ideas to control such expression to reduce the cancer hallmarks of the cell lines under study are fascinating. Immunological techniques to control cancer which are gaining popularity recently are also quite promising.
2. Virology and other host pathogen interaction: Virus is one of the biggest surprises nature has offered, thus, it is an interesting system to study. The detailed molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interaction are yet to be divulged. Although controlling viral growth is very challenging but finding out of specific targets which can be altered in the host cell is a very promising task. Plant pathogen interaction also provides a very interesting field to study.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Drawing & painting is my passion and achieved ranks within 1st to 4th in different competitions that I have participated.
