Wanted Personal Tutor for Python Test Automation in Electronics

()

We are looking for a highly qualified and industry-active Personal Tutor to provide specialized online training in Python scripting for test automation. This role is unique because it moves beyond basic programming and dives deep into the practical application of code within an electronics laboratory environment. As a professional mentor, you will help the student master the art of controlling sophisticated lab equipment through automated scripts, significantly improving testing efficiency and accuracy. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys teaching and wants to help the next generation of professionals bridge the gap between software and hardware.

Job Description

  • Hardware Interfacing: Teach the student how to use Python libraries (such as PyVISA or SCPI) to communicate with and control lab instruments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Test Script Development: Guide the creation of robust, automated test suites designed to validate electronic components and system performance without manual intervention.
  • Data Acquisition & Analysis: Instruct on how to automate the collection of test data and use Python for real-time analysis and reporting of electronic measurements.
  • Industry Standards: Implement best practices for code structure and error handling specifically tailored for the rigors of an electronics R&D or manufacturing environment.

Tutor Requirements

Candidates must be currently employed within the electronics industry with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in test automation or hardware validation. A strong academic background, such as a B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, is mandatory. You must have a proven track record of using Python to interface with physical hardware via GPIB, USB, or Ethernet interfaces. We require a professional who understands the nuances of instrument drivers and laboratory safety protocols. The ability to explain complex automation logic to a learner in a clear, concise, and engaging manner is essential. Only qualified professionals with active industry projects will be considered for this specialized mentorship role.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and automation libraries (PyVISA, NumPy, Pandas).
  • Deep understanding of SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments).
  • Experience with instrument communication protocols (RS232, TCP/IP, GPIB).
  • Strong diagnostic skills for both software bugs and hardware measurement errors.
